This wall adapter is recommended for powering the AstroSplash Drop Controller. The adapter provides a regulated 12 VDC at up to 2.1 A (25W). The input is 120-240 VAC at 50-60 Hz. The AC plug is a standard 2-pin non-polarized US plug. An adapter may be needed for some countries.
The AstroSplash Drop Controller controls up to 3 valves. Additional valve kits as well as individual parts may be purchased below.
This 12VDC, 6W solenoid valve works well with the AstroSplash Drop Controller. You can connect three of these valves to the AstroSplash and stay within the 24W power rating of the controller. The valve kit includes the parts listed below. Assembly is required. Assembly instructions are here.
2 mounting bolts with washers
2-ft of shielded, 2-conductor cable
2.1x5.5mm power plug
2 nylon adapters (1/4-in NPT x 1/4-in barb)
6-in section of flexible tubing (1/4-in ID)
Neoprene barbed fitting, 1/4" NPT
These barbed fittings screw into the solenoid valve supplied in our valve kit. We have 3 sizes of the opening on the barbed end, which accepts tubing with an inner diameter of 1/4".
Lid Label for AstroSplash Drop Controller
We include the label printed on photo-quality paper together with 2 sheets of adhesive laminate.
The Canon 80N3 and the Nikon cables are about 1-foot long and may be coiled or straight, depending on what we can get from our suppliers. The stereo plug is 2.5mm, and a 2.5mm to 3.5mm stereo adapter is included for connection to a HiViz.com trigger box. A 6-foot extension cable may be purchased for just $1.95 more.
The Canon 60E3 cable is 6 feet long with 2.5mm and 3.5mm plugs.
DIY option: If you want to use a shutter release cable that you already own rather than buying one of ours, you can just get the 3.5mm male and female stereo connectors and follow these instructions.
