If this is your first time shopping with us, you may find the
following information helpful. Otherwise, click on Products for more information and to order.
What we sell: We sell kits of electronic parts for
building sound and photogate triggers and delay units. All of our
kits are designed to actuate electronic flash units. They will also
actuate many electronic cameras.
We also sell individual components
(SCRs, optical components, and timer ICs). If there's a
component you need that isn't listed, just
contact us to inquire about availability. We also have additional
cable lengths in order to provide greater
extensions for photogate and flash unit.
How much electronics experience is needed?
Some basic experience in reading a circuit diagram and
wiring circuits will be helpful. However, for most of the kits, we
provide online instructions with high-resolution photos showing the
circuits step-by-step as they're being built on solderless
breadboards. These
instructions are written for our breadboards, so you should purchase a
breadboard with a kit unless you already have a similar breadboard of
your own. We provide a discount when you purchase a breadboard with a
kit.
 How
to order and pay for your purchase:
Using PayPal: You can purchase kits
online using our PayPal
shopping cart feature and a credit card or bank draft. Payment in US
currency is required. If you prefer to send
payment by mail, contact us
first to let us know what you want.
Shipping, handling, and sales tax
US Customers:
You can choose either of the following shipping methods: USPS Priority mail
or USPS Express. S&H for priority is $6.50 for the first pound and
increases for weights above a pound. Transit time is estimated at
2-3 days by the Post Office, and they stick to it for the most part.
For Express shipping, S&H is a flat rate of $19.00. Transit time
is 1-2 days.
Sales tax is automatically added to North Carolina
orders.
International customers:
Priority Mail International and Express Mail International shipping
methods are available. For orders of $20 and under, Priority Mail
Flat Rate shipping is also available. This is the least expensive
method of shipping but be warned: Tracking is not available for
Priority Flat Rate, and shipments are sometimes "lost" for a time in
Postal Customs. The customer has the responsibility to investigate
such delays.
We recommend Express Mail International for all shipments,
because the estimated transit time of 5 business days is typically
accurate, and shipments are tracked and insured. Priority Mail
International shipments (not flat rate) are also tracked and
insured, but the estimated transit time is 6-10 days, and the cost
is about the same as Express Mail International for orders above
$20.00. Here

Shipping address:
PayPal's seller protection policy requires that
merchants ship to the address on record in PayPal for the account
holder. Please don't ask us to ship to a different address. Please
check before ordering that your address in PayPal is current.
Customer Service
If you have question about an order,
email us. If you're
having trouble getting a circuit to work, first check the
online instructions for
your kit if you haven't done so already. If this doesn't help you
solve the problem, we'll do the best to help you troubleshoot via
email exchange. However, this amounts to some guesswork without
being able to see your circuit. If it looks like the problem
is a faulty component, we'll replace that.
We generally don't take returns on opened kits. You may return
unopened kits for a refund of the purchase price, excluding the
shipping and handling charges.
Privacy Policy
When you order through the PayPal shopping cart, the PayPal
privacy policy covers that transaction. (From the
PayPal home page,
click the Privacy link at the bottom of the page.) When you
correspond with HiViz.com via email, your email address and any
personal information you provide is kept private.
