The images in this catalog comprise a selection of the stock photographs of Loren Winters and associates. Many of the images were taken with specialized, high-speed techniques (see below). For more information or to request permission to use the images in publications, send email.
Images are available as glossy prints or as high-resolution scans of 35mm film media.
Many of the multiflash photos are suitable for quantitative analysis of the physical phenomena depicted. Additional data and related photographs are available in many cases.

| Technique | Description |
| Single-burst flash | A single burst of light, usually triggered automatically by sound or light, briefly illuminates the subject. |
| Multiflash | A moving subject is illuminated by successive flashes of light, spaced equally in time. Displacement of the images from one flash to the next is due to the motion of subject only. |
| Color-sequenced flash | A variation of the multiflash technique, this method utilizes colored filters placed over the flash units. Successive images are tinted with the filter colors. This technique provides a way to identify each image in cases where i) the image sequence would be difficult to determine or ii) the images overlap. |
| Multiflash sweep | Another variation of multiflash in which successive flash images of the subject are scanned across a single frame. This is achieved by using a rotating mirror to sweep reflected images into the camera. Displacement of the images from one flash to the next is due to both mirror motion and subject motion. This method is used to separate images that would otherwise be obscured through overlap on the film. |
